Magazine Front Cover

My magazine is effective as it meets conventions of the real media texts of Empire Magazine. This can be seen explained in more detail to the right. It grabs attention with bold colours, while sticking to the three colour rule of magazine covers. Whilst promoting the poster, which I added in after creating it - to make the cross promotion more convincing.

Poster

See the conventions of movie posters to the left to see why my poster is effective in that area. I made sure to have the same tagline on my poster as in the trailer: 'Who's More Human?', this makes for a more convincing and consistent marketing campaign.

Website

The website is fully operational with links to real purchasing platforms. Our website contains links to not just my ancillaries but both my partner's and my own ancillaries. The website is mobile friendly meaning that it is accessible to a wider audience - more and more people are using their smartphones to browse the web.

Cross Promotion

Synergy

The reason that the combination of my ancillaries is effective is that they synergise (cross promote)  with each other.  In each of my ancillaries promoted at least one of the others. My magazine promoted an exclusive copy of my poster; my poster then promoted the website which itself promoted both my magazine, poster and with the trailer itself while finally promoting places to purchase tickets and a pre-order of the full movie. Our trailer promotes the website. This cross media convergence makes for an effective marketing for our movie, allowing for a person who owns one of these be able to access all of the others.
